Set the user/location link as mandatory or optional (in settings)

This procedure allows you to define whether associating a user with a specific company location is mandatory or optional.

Procedure

1. Access the main Settings section of the system.

2. Locate the configuration block titled User Preferences.

3. Within this block, you will find two options related to the user/location link:

Step 3.1: Enable the association (optional)

  • Check the box next to Allow user/location link.

(Note: if this option is not checked, mandatory settings will not be visible).

Step 3.2: Set the mandatory status

  • To make the user/location association mandatory, check the box next to Mandatory user/location link.
  • To make the user/location association optional (allowed but not required), ensure that the Mandatory user/location link box is NOT checked.

4. Click on the save button (usually Save or Apply changes) to apply the new settings.
