Enable or disable the selection of the location during registration (in settings)

This guide explains how to configure whether users must or can select a company location during the registration process.

Why do it

It allows you to control if the location selection field should be shown (and whether it should be mandatory) in the user registration form.

Procedure

1. Log in to the administration panel and navigate to the Settings (or Configuration) section.

2. Within the main settings, locate the box titled Registration Preferences.

3. To enable or disable the ability to select a location:

  • Check the box next to Location selection during registration to enable the feature.
  • Uncheck the box to disable the feature.

4. If you have enabled location selection (step 3), an additional option will appear to make selection mandatory.

  • Check the box next to Mandatory location selection if you want users to be required to choose a location to complete registration.

5. Once you have completed the changes, make sure to save the new settings. (The system may have a Save button or save automatically).
