To define the age limits and additional costs applied to children staying in the room.
Procedure
1. Access the configuration of the item (e.g., a Room) you want to modify.
2. Navigate to the Booking Engine tab.
3. Scroll down to the section titled Child Cost.
4. In the Maximum number of children field, enter the total maximum number of children that can be accommodated in this room.
5. Under this setting, you will find the area to define age groups. Click the Add button (or equivalent) to create a new group.
6. For each added row, complete the following fields:
- From: Enter the minimum age (in years) for this group.
- To: Enter the maximum age (in years) for this group.
- Cot request: Check the box Allow cot request if guests can request a cot for children in this age group.
- Cost per night (Main Rate): Enter the additional cost per night for a child falling within this age group.
- If applicable: If you have configured multiple rates, you can define specific costs for each rate (e.g., Cost per night (Non-Refundable)). If left blank, the Main Rate will be used.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to define all necessary age groups (e.g., 0-3 years, 4-10 years, etc.).
8. After completing your changes, click the general save button on the page to apply the new settings.
