This guide explains how to configure which blog categories should be displayed within the "Categories" block in the Visual Builder.
Procedure for Selecting the Display Mode
1. In the settings panel of the Categories - Blog block, locate the section related to display.
2. Look for the label Categories to show and click on the dropdown menu below it.
3. Select one of the following options to define which categories to display:
| Selected Option | Description and Required Action |
|---|---|
| All | All blog categories are displayed. No additional action is required. |
| Parent categories | Only categories that do not have a parent category (top-level) are displayed. No additional action is required. |
| Child categories | Only categories that are children of one or more specific categories are displayed. An additional field will appear: |
| Action: In the Select parent categories field, select the categories whose subcategories you want to show. | |
| Select manually | Allows you to choose specific categories to display. An additional field will appear: |
| Action: In the Select categories field, select the desired categories from the list. | |
| By query | Allows filtering categories based on a keyword present in their name. An additional field will appear: |
| Action: In the Search query field, enter the keyword or query to use for filtering. |
4. After selecting the mode and configuring any additional fields, save the block changes to apply the new display filter.
