This guide explains how to configure a "Categories" block to display only blog categories whose names match a specific search query.
Filtering categories via search query
This procedure applies to the "Categories" block within the Visual Builder.
1. Open Block Settings:
In the Visual Builder, click on the block that displays the blog categories (usually called "Categories") to open the settings window.
2. Select the Display Mode:
In the main settings section, look for the label Categories to show.
- Click on the dropdown menu and select the option Via query.
3. Enter the Search Query:
A new field labeled Search query will appear.
- Enter the term or phrase that must be contained in the category name (for example, if you enter "Marketing," only categories containing "Marketing" in the title will be shown).
> Note: The field has the placeholder Ricerca da effettuare.
4. Save Changes:
After entering the query, click the save button to apply the filter to the block. The block will now display only the categories that meet the specified search criteria.
