Advertising Banners

Banner management, Campaign planning, Performance tracking, Ad groups, Automatic rotation, Advanced targeting

Description: A comprehensive tool for managing, scheduling, and displaying advertising spaces (image banners, HTML, or Google Ads) within your website or emails.

What is it for? (Practical examples)

This tool allows you to monetize your website traffic or promote specific content in a targeted way.

  • Monetization: Insert banners from external ad networks (such as Google AdSense) to earn from user views or clicks.
  • Internal Promotion: Use banners to highlight special offers, new products, or important events in strategic areas of the site.
  • Timed Campaigns: Schedule the automatic activation and deactivation of a promotion (e.g., Summer Sales) by setting a start and end date.

Main Features

Banner Management

  • Content Definition: You can upload a banner as an image, paste custom HTML code, or use code provided by platforms like Google Ads.
  • Scheduling: Set a start and end date for each banner, ensuring promotions are shown only during the desired period.
  • Performance Tracking: The system automatically records the number of views and clicks each banner receives, allowing you to measure its effectiveness.
  • Destination Link: Associate a URL with the banner. The system tracks the click before redirecting the user.

Organization and Display

  • Ad Groups: Organize banners into groups (e.g., "Sidebar," "Header," "Product Page"). This simplifies inserting multiple banners into a single area.
  • Automatic Rotation: When you insert an Ad Group, the system automatically selects and displays a different banner from the group on each page load, optimizing visibility for all ads.
  • Duplicate Option: You can choose whether to allow the same banner to be displayed multiple times on the same page (useful if you have few banners but many ad areas).

Advanced Targeting

  • Page Inclusion/Exclusion: Define exactly on which pages of the site the banner should be shown or hidden.
  • User Conditions: Apply specific conditions (if available in the system) to display the banner only to certain user categories or based on specific interactions.

How to Configure

The main configuration is available in the module's Settings section, under the Google Ads tab.

OptionDescription
Validation Code (JS)Used to insert JavaScript verification or tracking codes provided by Google or other advertising platforms. This code is automatically inserted into your site's footer.
ads.txt FilePaste here the contents of the ads.txt file required by ad managers. The system will make it automatically accessible at /ads.txt on your site.

Automatic Integrations

Insertion via Visual Builder

The easiest way to insert a banner is by using the dedicated block in the Visual Builder (the visual editor for pages and emails).

1. Select the Advertising Banner block.

2. Choose the Ad Group you want to display in that area.

3. Set display options (e.g., "Show duplicates").

Insertion via Content Tag

You can insert an Ad Group directly into the text of any page or article using a system tag.

  • Usage: Insert the tag into the page content, replacing GROUPID with the numeric identifier of the group you want to show.

Automatic Tracking and Redirect Management

When a user clicks on a system-managed banner, they are first redirected through an internal tracking endpoint. This ensures that clicks are correctly recorded in statistics before the user reaches the final destination (the link associated with the banner).
