Create a new post by selecting a time slot in the calendar
Why do it:
This procedure allows you to quickly schedule new content (post) by directly selecting the desired date and time on the editorial calendar.
Procedure
1. Access the Editorial Calendar (or the dashboard containing the calendar).
2. Locate the time slot (or the day cell) where you want to schedule the publication.
3. Click and drag the mouse over the desired time slot or simply click on the day cell.
- The dialog window titled New Post will open automatically.
4. Inside the New Post window, enter the publication title in the text field (associated with ID calendareventtitle).
5. If necessary, modify the pre-filled date and time in the field (associated with ID calendareventdate) using the date/time picker.
6. Scroll through the window content and configure the post for the desired platforms:
- For each platform (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, etc.), make sure that the checkbox
[name="enabled"]is checked to enable posting. - Fill in the required fields for the specific content of each enabled platform.
7. Once configuration is complete, click on the Insert button to save and schedule the publication.
> Note: If an error occurs during saving, a notification message will appear (e.g., "An error occurred"). If saving is successful, the message "The publication has been scheduled successfully" will be displayed and the post will appear in the calendar.
