Description: Centralized tool to schedule, view, and manage content intended for publication across various marketing and social media platforms.
What is it for? (Practical examples)
Use the Editorial Calendar to:
- Plan communication: View all posts and outgoing content for the month or week in one place.
- Manage platforms: Create a single piece of content and define how and when it should be published on different platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Save time: Leverage automatic scheduling to ensure that content is published at the exact time without manual intervention.
Main Features
1. Calendar Viewing and Navigation
The module offers a comprehensive view of scheduled content, allowing you to navigate through different perspectives:
- Monthly View: General overview of all content scheduled for the month.
- Weekly View: Detailed day-by-day display with specific times.
- Daily View: Full focus on activities for a single day.
The calendar supports viewing by Platform, enabling immediate distinction of content intended for different channels.
2. Content Creation and Editing
Content management is interactive and fast:
- Quick Scheduling: Click on a free date or time slot in the calendar to immediately open the window for creating new content.
- Instant Editing: Click on existing content to open its details and edit text, target platforms, or publication time.
- Rescheduling via Drag & Drop: You can move content from one date to another simply by dragging it within the calendar. The system will automatically update the publication time.
3. Multi-Platform Management
When creating or editing content, a window opens that allows you to:
- Define Base Content: Enter title and publication date/time.
- Select Platforms: Activate tabs related to target platforms (e.g., Social Media A, Social Media B).
- Customization: Within each tab, configure platform-specific post details (for example, different text, specific images, etc.). The system saves only data from platforms you have explicitly enabled.
How to Configure
Configuration options are accessible from the plugin Settings panel.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable dashboard widget | Select this option to display a compact version of the Editorial Calendar directly in your main Dashboard. |
Automatic Integrations
1. Automatic Content Scheduling
The system includes a scheduled automatic operation (cronjob) that constantly monitors scheduled content.
- Real-time Publishing: When the publication time approaches, the system executes the defined action (such as posting to social media or triggering a marketing automation) and marks the content as published.
2. Dashboard Widget
If enabled in settings, the calendar appears as a widget in your Dashboard, offering an immediate view of upcoming publications without accessing the full module.
Integration with Booking/Scheduling Tool
The "Editorial Calendar" module also includes components for managing complex booking or scheduling processes, accessible via external links or dedicated areas (for example, allowing clients to book an appointment for content creation).
This external scheduling tool allows you to:
- Select an event/service type.
- Choose an operator (if needed).
- View availability on an interactive calendar (with blocked or unavailable days).
- Select the desired time slot.
- Fill out a contact form or proceed to checkout (if the service is paid).
Once confirmed, these bookings can be managed and viewed within the main Editorial Calendar.
