To ensure that every new user is linked to a sponsor, even if they do not enter a code during registration, you can enable automatic assignment.
Procedure
1. Access the Affiliation module settings.
2. Click on the Registration tab.
3. Scroll down to the section titled Auto-assignment.
4. To enable the feature, check the box next to Enable automatic assignment.
- To disable the feature, make sure the box is unchecked.
5. If automatic assignment is enabled, select the desired Assignment Criterion:
- To the geographically closest user: The system will look for a sponsor based on the new user's geographic location.
- Rotating among selected users: The system will assign sponsors in turn from a predefined list.
6. If you chose the Rotating among selected users criterion, use the Select users to rotate field to specify which sponsors should be included in the assignment cycle.
7. Click Save changes (or the equivalent save button in the panel) to apply the settings.
