This guide explains how to set up an action within a Form to automatically assign a sponsor to a user, using the email or affiliate code provided by the user.
Why do it
It allows linking a newly registered user or one who has completed the Form to their sponsor, ensuring that affiliation benefits are tracked correctly.
Procedure
1. Log in to the control panel and go to the Form management module.
2. Edit the Form where you want to implement the sponsor assignment (for example, the Registration Form).
3. Within the Form editor, navigate to the Actions section.
4. Click the button to add a new action (usually Add action or a + symbol).
5. Select the Assign sponsor action.
6. The configuration for the "Assign sponsor" action will open.
7. In the Email / Sponsor Code field, select the Form field (previously created) where the user will enter their sponsor's email or code.
- Note: Make sure that the selected Form field is of text type and is filled out by the end user.
8. Click Save (or Apply) to save the action.
9. Click Save changes to update the Form.
When a user fills out the Form and enters a valid code or email in the specified field, the system will automatically link the user to the corresponding sponsor.
