Why do it: Allows the system to automatically assign a sponsor to new users who register without using an affiliate code.
Procedure
1. Log in to the admin panel and navigate to the Affiliation plugin settings (usually under Settings > Plugins).
2. Go to the Registration tab.
3. Locate the Auto-assignment section.
4. Under the label Automatically assign sponsor if not specified, check the box Enable automatic assignment.
Once enabled, proceed with configuring the desired criterion.
Option A: Geographic Assignment
This option assigns the new user to the sponsor who is geographically closest.
1. In the Assignment Criterion field, select the option To geographically closest user.
2. No further configuration is required.
Option B: Rotational Assignment
This option distributes new users evenly among a list of sponsors you select.
1. In the Assignment Criterion field, select the option Rotate among selected users.
2. The field Select users to rotate will appear.
3. Click in the field and search for users you want to include in the automatic rotation mechanism.
Note: Remember to save the plugin settings after completing the configuration.
