Assign a sponsor to a user through a form action (Admin/Form Builder)

Why do it

This action is used within a Form (typically registration or contact) to link the user filling out the form to an existing sponsor, using a specific form field to enter the sponsor's email or code.


Procedure to Assign a Sponsor

Follow these steps to configure the "Assign sponsor" action in your Form Builder:

1. Access the administration area and navigate to the Form Builder module (or the module containing the form you want to modify).

2. Select the desired form and, within its settings, go to the Actions section.

3. Click on Add action and select the action named Assign sponsor.

4. Once added, click on the action to configure it.

5. In the configuration section, you will find the field: Email / Sponsor Code.

6. Click on the Email / Sponsor Code field and select from the dropdown menu the form field that the user uses to enter their sponsor's code or email.

  • Note: The selected field must contain the customer's ID, customer's email, or affiliate code of the sponsor.

7. After linking the correct field, click Save (or Save action) to confirm the action configuration.

8. Save changes to the entire form to make the new action effective.

The action will be executed every time the form is submitted, assigning the sponsor to the user based on the value provided in the specified field.
