Guide: Insert a Long Text (Textarea Field)
Why do it: Use the Textarea field to allow your customers to enter long texts, such as additional notes, special instructions, or detailed descriptions, when purchasing a product.
Procedure
1. Click the Add Field button to create a new advanced attribute.
2. In the panel of the newly created field, locate the label Field Name and enter the name you want to assign to the attribute (for example: "Special Instructions").
3. In the Field Type field, select the Textarea option.
4. Locate the Placeholder field and enter a short hint text that will appear inside the Textarea field to guide the user (for example: "Enter your notes here").
- Note: The Placeholder field is available only for field types that support it, such as Textarea.
5. (Optional) If you want the user to be required to fill in this field before proceeding, check the Make Required box.
6. (Optional) Check the Apply to All Products box if this field should be automatically available for all products.
7. (Optional) Configure any other settings such as Price Variation or Apply Display Conditions, if necessary.
8. Save the plugin settings.
The Textarea field will now be available on the product page for customers to enter long text.
