Creation of an "Input" field (Short Text)
This type of field allows your customers to enter a short and personalized text (such as a name, a code, or a specific size) during the purchase of a product.
Procedure
1. Access the Create advanced attributes configuration section.
2. Click the Add field button to create a new configuration row.
3. In the new row, fill in the Field name by entering the label that will be shown to the customer (e.g., "Enter your name").
4. In the Field type dropdown menu, select the Input option.
- Note: After selecting "Input," the "Accepted values" and "Accepted values (images)" fields will disappear, as they are not necessary for free text input.
5. (Optional) In the Placeholder field, enter example text or a brief instruction (e.g., "Maximum 50 characters"). This text will appear inside the text field as a hint.
6. (Optional) Check the Make mandatory box if the user must fill out this field to proceed with the purchase.
7. (Optional) Check the Apply to all products box if you want this field to be automatically active on all products in your e-commerce.
Once you have completed the configuration, make sure to save the settings to make the new field available on products.
