This guide explains how to associate an additional cost (multiplied by quantity or one-time) to a custom product attribute (such as a text field, a selection, etc.).
Procedure
1. Access the configuration section of the Advanced Attributes plugin in the administration panel.
2. Locate the custom attribute to which you want to add an extra cost. If you need to create a new attribute, click the Add Field button.
3. Within the attribute configuration, look for the field labeled Price Variation.
4. Click on the dropdown menu and select the type of price variation you want to apply:
- Not present (0): No extra cost associated with the attribute.
- Multiplied by quantity (1): The extra cost will be added to the product price for each unit purchased.
- One-time (2): The extra cost will be added only once to the cart total, regardless of the quantity of product purchased.
5. After selecting Multiplied by quantity or One-time, a new field labeled Additional Price will appear.
6. In the Additional Price field, enter the numeric amount of the extra cost that the attribute will add to the product.
7. Save the plugin settings to make the price variation effective.
