This guide explains how to assign a value automatically collected by the system (a "dynamic value") to a specific field within the tracking settings, such as a product ID or the value of a transaction.
Dynamic values are available only within the Goals configuration and only for third-party tracking platforms (such as Meta Ads or Google Ads).
Selecting a Dynamic Value for a Tracking Field
Follow these steps to configure a tracking field to use a dynamic value:
1. Preparing the Goal
1. Access the Goals section of your tracking project.
2. Locate the goal you want to configure (for example, "Form Submission" or "Purchase") and make sure it is Active.
3. Within the goal settings, scroll down to the Third-Party Tracking section (or the specific platform configuration, e.g., "Google Ads Events").
4. If not already enabled, activate the Enable option under the Third-Party Tracking label.
2. Opening the Dynamic Selector
1. Find the input field to which you want to assign a dynamic value (for example, the value or currency field).
2. Next to the field label, look for and click on the Dynamic Value link (identified by the hand icon: ).
3. Assigning the Parameter
A window titled: [Field Name] dynamic will open.
1. Read the description: Select one of the following parameters to automatically set it as the value of the [Field Name] field.
2. In the section below, you will see a list of available parameters (for example, value, currency, or form field names like nome or email).
3. Click on the button corresponding to the parameter you want to use.
- Example: If you are configuring a purchase event and want to track the total transaction value, click on the
valueparameter.
4. Once clicked, the window will close automatically and the input field will be populated with the dynamic placeholder (e.g., {value}).
4. Saving
1. Repeat this operation for all fields that require a dynamic value.
2. Click on the Save (or Save and Continue) button to apply changes to your tracking project.
