Configure tracking parameters for external platforms (for each objective)

The following guide is intended for non-technical users and describes how to configure specific tracking parameters for external platforms (such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.) for each tracking goal defined in the project.

Configure Tracking Parameters for External Platforms (for Each Goal)

Before proceeding, make sure you have correctly entered the tracking IDs (Pixel ID, Tag Manager ID, etc.) in the first section of the project ("Project Data").

Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Access the Goals Section

  • On the editing page of your tracking project, click on the Goals step (usually the second step of the wizard).

2. Select and Activate the Goal

  • Locate the goal you want to configure (for example: "Form Submission", "Purchase", "Click").
  • If the goal is not active, click the Activate button in the header of the box.

3. Enable Third-Party Tracking

  • Inside the goal box, look for the section related to third-party tracking.
  • Find the Third-Party Tracking option.
  • Check the box labeled Enable.
  • Note: Enabling this option will open the configuration section for external platforms.

4. Configure Parameters for Each Platform

  • After enabling external tracking, several boxes will appear for each platform you configured in the "Project Data" section (for example: Events Meta Ads, Events Google, Events TikTok Ads, etc.).
  • For each platform, configure the required parameters for the specific event:
  • Event Name: Enter the name that the event should have on the external platform (e.g., Lead or Purchase).
  • Value and Currency: If the goal includes a monetary value (such as a purchase), enter the value and currency parameters.

5. Add Custom Parameters (Advanced)

  • If you need to send additional data not covered by standard platform fields, you can use custom parameters.
  • Within the platform box (e.g., Meta Ads), look for and click on Custom Parameters.
  • Use the "Add Parameter" button to create new rows.
  • In the Field Name field, enter the technical name of the parameter.
  • In the Value field, enter the value to be sent.

6. Use Dynamic Values (Optional)

  • In some fields, you may see a Dynamic Value option (hand icon).
  • Click on Dynamic Value to open the parameter selector.
  • Select a predefined parameter (for example, an automatically detected form field) to populate the field with a variable and real-time updated data.

7. Save Changes

  • After configuring all necessary parameters for the goal, complete the wizard and save your tracking project. The changes will take effect immediately.
