Upload the verification file for Facebook domain validation

This guide is intended for users who need to configure tracking and domain verification for Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) using the project management interface.

Guide: Upload the Verification File for Facebook Domain Validation

This procedure allows you to upload the HTML file provided by Facebook to prove ownership of your domain within your project's tracking settings.

Prerequisites: You must have already downloaded the HTML verification file from Facebook.

Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Access the Tracking Project

Go to the tracking projects management section and open the project for which you want to perform domain validation (page edit.php).

2. Locate the Meta Ads Section

Scroll through the configuration page until you find the box titled:

  • Tracking Meta Ads (marked with the Meta/Facebook icon).

3. Access Domain Validation

Within the Tracking Meta Ads section, scroll down and locate the box:

  • Facebook Domain Validation.

4. Upload the Verification File

Under the label Upload domain verification file, click on the upload area (which may appear as a text field or a "Choose file" button).

  • Select the HTML verification file you previously downloaded from Facebook.

5. Save Changes

Once the file has been uploaded successfully, scroll to the bottom of the form and save the project to apply the changes.

> Note: The system will automatically place the file in the correct directory of your website to allow Facebook to complete verification.

6. Complete Verification on Facebook

Return to the Facebook platform (Meta Business Manager) and click on the button to verify your domain. Facebook will look for the file you just uploaded, and if everything is correct, your domain will be validated.
