Activate or deactivate a specific tracking goal

This guide explains how to activate or deactivate a tracking goal (such as a click, form submission, or visit to a specific page) within an existing tracking project.

How to Activate or Deactivate a Specific Goal

To change the status of a goal, follow these steps:

1. Access Project Management:

  • Navigate to the main tracking projects management section.

2. Edit the Project:

  • Locate the project you want to modify (identified by its Project Name and Website).
  • Click on the edit action (usually a pencil icon or an "Edit" function) to open the project configuration screen.

3. Go to the Goals Section:

  • In the project configuration screen, navigate to the tab or section titled Goals.

4. Locate the Goal:

  • Scroll through the list until you find the specific goal you want to activate or deactivate (for example, "Form Submission," "Click," "Page Visit"). Each goal is contained in a box called "Action Box."

5. Activate or Deactivate the Goal:

  • Inside the goal's box, look for action buttons:
  • To activate the goal, click on the Activate button (usually primary-colored, blue or green).
  • To deactivate the goal, click on the Deactivate button (usually red).

> Note: When a goal is active, its box (Action Box) will be highlighted. When it is inactive, it will appear in a neutral state.

6. Save Changes:

  • Once you have completed changes to the goals, make sure to save the entire project configuration form (usually via a "Save" or "Finish" button at the bottom of the page or in the guided flow).

Changes will be applied immediately and the project's tracking code will be updated to include or exclude the selected goal.
