This guide explains how to define the order in which data is presented in the table or chart of the report.


Select the sorting criteria for the results

Sorting criteria (ascending or descending) are only available for reports that support this feature.

Follow these steps to set the sorting:

1. Make sure you have selected a data source and that the report is displayed in the main area.

2. Locate the panel titled Filters and sorting.

3. In the sorting section, find the field labeled Sorting.

4. Click on the dropdown menu under Sorting and select the field by which you want to sort the results (e.g., Date, Total, etc.).

5. Set the sorting direction using the dropdown menu immediately to the right (which has no visible label in the source code):

  • Select Descending to display results from highest to lowest value (e.g., from most recent to least recent).
  • Select Ascending to display results from lowest to highest value (e.g., from least recent to most recent).

6. After selecting the criteria, click on the Refresh button (the circular arrow icon) located in the report header to reload the data with the new sorting applied.
