Filter customers by gender, city, or ZIP code

This guide explains how to use the predefined filters within the "Customers" report to segment data based on gender, city, or postal code (ZIP Code).

Prerequisite: You must have selected the data source related to Customers (e.g., "Customers" or "Master Data") in the Create new report section of the sidebar.


Procedure for Applying Filters

Once the report is loaded, the filter fields will appear in the dedicated section.

1. Locate the Filters Section

Scroll through the main report page until you find the panel titled:

2. Filter by Gender

To view only customers of a specific gender:

1. Locate the label Gender.

2. Click on the dropdown menu below it.

3. Select the desired option:

  • All: (Default) Shows both Male and Female.
  • Male: Shows only male customers.
  • Female: Shows only female customers.

3. Filter by City

To view customers residing in a specific city:

1. Locate the label City.

2. Enter the name of the city (or part of it) in the text field.

  • Note: The system will search for partial matches. For example, typing "Rome" will find "Rome Center" and "Rome North."

4. Filter by ZIP Code (Postal Code)

To view customers residing in a specific area:

1. Locate the label ZIP Code.

2. Enter the exact postal code in the text field.

5. Update the Report

After setting one or more filters:

1. Click on the Update button located in the main header of the report (top right).

The report will reload data and visualizations (charts and tables), showing only customers who meet the set filter criteria.
