Change the chart display type (bars, lines, pie, doughnut)

This guide explains how to modify the visual representation of data in your report by choosing between bar, line, pie, or donut charts.

Prerequisites: You must have already selected a data source and configured at least one Dimension and one Metric for the chart to be visible in the preview section.


Procedure to change the chart type

1. Access the Report: Open the report you want to edit or create a new report by selecting a data source from the left sidebar.

2. View the Preview: Scroll down to the Preview section (#preview-area).

3. Locate the Toolbar: Above the chart area, you will find a small toolbar (identified as chart-toolbar).

4. Select the Chart Type: Within this toolbar, there are four buttons with icons representing different visualization types. Click on the button that corresponds to your desired format:

5. Automatic Update: After clicking on the new chart type, the display will update immediately to show data in the chosen format.

> Note: The selected chart type is automatically saved in the report configuration. If you save the report (using the Save button), it will retain the chosen display type.
