Description: This tool centralizes the management and configuration of all automatic communications (such as emails or SMS) that the system sends in response to specific user events or actions.
What is it for? (Practical examples)
Using the Notifications Module is essential to automate contact with customers and maintain consistent communication without manual intervention.
- Greetings and anniversaries: Schedule the automatic sending of birthday wishes or messages for other occasions, defining how many days in advance to send the communication.
- System event management: Customize standard messages sent by the system (e.g., registration confirmation, order status update, reminders).
- Effectiveness monitoring: Check in a single panel how many times a specific communication has been sent and verify its delivery status.
Main Features
- Centralized control panel: Displays an overview of all available notification types, their status (active or paused), and the total number of sends performed for each.
- Multichannel content editor: Allows defining the text of the communication for different channels (such as email or SMS) within the same configuration environment.
- Dynamic personalization: Use dynamic placeholders (shortcodes) to automatically insert specific user data (name, date, order details) into the message body.
- Send tracking: For each notification, a detailed history is available showing the send date, recipient user, and delivery status (Sent or Unsubscribed).
- Activation and deactivation: It is possible to activate, pause, or permanently delete a notification configuration.
How to configure
The configuration of automatic communications is done by accessing the main panel and selecting the specific notification to modify.
1. Preferences and Activation Rules
In the configuration section, you can define rules that determine when and to whom the notification should be sent.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Active Status | Selecting this option activates the notification and sends it automatically when the associated event occurs. |
| Send only if subscribed to newsletter | Limits sending the communication only to users who have given marketing consent or are subscribed to the newsletter. |
| Specific settings (e.g., Birthday) | Some notifications require additional parameters. For example, for birthday wishes, it is necessary to specify the number of Days in advance with which the message must be sent. |
2. Notification Content
Use the integrated editor to write the message. The editor supports:
- Multilingual text: If the system is configured for multiple languages, you can define translated content for each language.
- Dynamic placeholders: Insert available placeholders to personalize the message with recipient data.
> Important: If you enable sending via Email, make sure a valid sender is specified. If you enable sending via SMS, the system will check credit availability in your plan.
3. Send History
After configuration, the "Send History" tab allows consulting the table of sent communications. This table includes:
- User: The name or details of the customer who received the communication.
- Send Date: Exact date and time of sending.
- Status: Indicates whether the notification was successfully "Sent" or if the recipient appears as "Unsubscribed" (and thus sending was blocked).
Automatic Integrations
The Notifications module automatically integrates with other areas of the system to ensure communication effectiveness:
- Credit Management: If sending a specific notification (such as SMS) incurs a credit cost, the system automatically checks availability before proceeding with activation or sending.
- User Data: Uses customers' personal data and marketing preferences to apply sending rules (e.g., send only to newsletter subscribers) and personalize messages through dynamic placeholders.
Key Differences
This tool is designed to manage reactive automations (messages sent in response to a specific event, such as a birthday or system action). It should not be used for massive marketing campaigns or manual newsletters (for which dedicated modules exist).
