This guide illustrates the necessary steps to send a message, whether you are replying to an existing conversation or starting a new one.
Guide: Sending the Message
There are two main ways to send a message: reply to an already open conversation or create a new one.
Scenario 1: Replying to an Existing Conversation
If you have already selected an active conversation from the list on the left, you can send a reply directly from the discussion panel.
1. Access the writing field: Locate the text area at the bottom of the discussion, marked by the prompt Scrivi qui il tuo messaggio....
2. Write the message: Enter the content of your reply.
3. Add attachments or templates (Optional):
- If you want to insert an emoticon, click on the smiley face icon (<i class="far fa-smile"></i>) next to the
Inviabutton. - If you want to use a predefined text, click on the
Importa templatebutton and choose the desired template from the list.
4. Send the message: Click the blue Invia button (paper airplane icon) to send your reply.
Scenario 2: Starting a New Conversation
If you need to contact a customer for the first time or start a new communication, follow these steps:
1. Start the creation: In the conversations panel (on the left), click the Nuovo messaggio button.
2. Select the Type: A dropdown menu will appear. Click on the type of message you want to send (for example, Email, SMS, etc.).
3. Fill in the conversation details:
- In the
Seleziona destinatariofield, choose the customer you want to send the message to. - In the
Oggetto della conversazionefield, enter a descriptive title for the discussion. (This field may not be present depending on the selected message type). - If necessary, you can specify:
Destinatario in copia (CC): Enter any additional email addresses that will receive a copy.Ricevi le risposte su: Select the email address where you want to receive the customer's replies.
4. Write the message: Write the message content in the text area below.
5. Send the message: Click the blue Invia button (paper airplane icon) to create and send the new conversation.
Common Error Messages:
If sending fails, you might see the following error messages:
Seleziona un destinatario valido: You must have selected a valid customer in theSeleziona destinatariofield.Inserisci un oggetto valido: The conversation subject is mandatory and cannot be left empty.Si è verificato un errore inaspettato durante l'invio del messaggio: Check the customer's settings (for example, if you are sending an SMS, verify that the customer has a valid phone number and that you have sufficient credits).
