This guide shows you how to enter the outgoing mail server address (SMTP) for your email setup.
The SMTP server address is often called "Host" and is provided by your email service provider (for example, Google, Microsoft, or your hosting).
Step-by-Step Guide: Specifying the SMTP Server Address (Host)
1. Access the configuration screen of the email connection you want to modify.
2. Make sure you are in the section titled Outgoing.
3. Locate the field labeled Server.
4. Enter your SMTP server address in this field.
- Example: If you are using Office 365, the address might be
smtp.office365.com.
5. After entering the address and completing the other required fields (such as Connection Name, SMTP Login, SMTP Password, and Port), click on the Verify Connection button.
6. If the verification is successful, proceed to save the configuration.
