save the connection configuration

This guide explains how to save the settings of an email connection (SMTP) after entering the required data.

Procedure to Save the Configuration

To save the connection settings, follow these steps:

1. Verify Mandatory Data: Make sure you have filled in all mandatory fields in the "Outgoing" section. The mandatory fields are:

  • Connection Name\*
  • Server
  • SMTP Login
  • SMTP Password
  • Port

2. Perform a Test (Optional but Recommended): Before saving, you can immediately verify the validity of the credentials by clicking on the button:

  • Test Connection

If the test is successful, you will receive a confirmation message. If it fails, correct the data and try again.

3. Save the Configuration: Once all data has been entered and verified, click on the Save button (or the equivalent provided by the system) to store the settings.

> Technical Note: When you click on Save, the system automatically performs one last SMTP connection check to ensure that the data is valid before recording it in the database.

4. Confirmation:

  • If the final connection test succeeds, the configuration will be saved and you will receive a confirmation message.
  • If the test fails, the system will show a warning (for example, "Unable to connect to Outgoing server. Check your data and try again!"). In this case, correct any incorrect data and repeat saving.
