Description: This tool allows you to extend the functionalities of Framework360 (such as user tracking and popups) to external websites or domains not directly managed by the platform.
What is it for? (Practical examples)
Use the External Sites Integration to connect your Framework360 environment with your other digital properties.
- External E-commerce Tracking: Track user behavior, conversions, and purchases on an e-commerce site hosted on a separate domain.
- Lead Acquisition on Blog: Display popups, banners, or subscription forms created in Framework360 on a corporate blog or an independent showcase site.
- Content Personalization: Use Dynamic Tags (Shortcodes) to insert personalized or dynamic content from Framework360 directly on external pages.
Main Features
The features are divided into two main areas: General Configuration and Advanced Tools.
- Domain Enablement: Allows you to specify exactly which external domains are authorized to use Framework360 integrations.
- Feature Selection: Enables or disables specific functionalities on the external site (e.g., Web Tracking, Popup, etc.).
- Integration Code (Embed): Provides a single block of code to copy and paste into the source of the external site to activate all selected functions.
- Dynamic Tags Management: Displays the complete list of available Dynamic Tags (Shortcodes), providing both the HTML and text versions, complete with documentation on the parameters required for their correct operation.
- Advanced Tracking: Offers a set of predefined JavaScript functions that developers can use to track specific and complex user actions (e.g., interactions with particular page elements).
How to configure
The module configuration is done through two main sections:
1. General Settings
| Option | Description | Important Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Enabled Domains | Enter the complete list of external domains (URLs) on which you want the integration to be active. Domains must be entered separated by commas. | Warning: It is not possible to remove a domain from this list if it is currently linked to an active tracking project in the platform. |
| Enabled Features | Select which Framework360 tools should be activated on the specified domains. Web Tracking is always enabled to ensure basic monitoring. | Available options may include Popup, Forms, etc., depending on the active integrations in the system. |
Once the settings are saved, the platform will provide a unique integration code to insert into the source code of your external website.
2. Advanced Tracking
This section is intended for those who need very detailed monitoring. It lists specific JavaScript functions that can be manually called on the external site.
- Description and Benefits: For each function, a clear explanation of its purpose and the benefits it offers (e.g., tracking a specific event, identifying a user) is provided.
- Usage Example: The exact code to implement on the external site is shown.
- Parameters: A detailed table explains which data are required (mandatory) and which are optional for the correct functioning of the tracking function.
Automatic Integrations
Embedding the Code
After configuring the domains and features, the platform generates a block of code. By pasting this code inside the <head> tag of your external site, you will automatically activate all selected functions (Web Tracking, Popup, etc.).
Using Dynamic Tags
Dynamic Tags (or Shortcodes) are special code snippets that, once inserted into the external site, are automatically replaced by the system with dynamic content generated by Framework360 (e.g., a form, a specific user data, or a personalized content block).
Key Differences
This module is the connection point between Framework360 and your external digital properties. If you need to track user actions on a domain that is not directly managed by the platform, you must use this tool. For standard tracking on domains already configured within the Client Area, it is sufficient to configure Goals in the dedicated section.
