This guide explains how to set the exact moment when your popup will be shown to page visitors.
Procedure
1. Access the popup editor and navigate to the Behavior panel.
2. Locate the Opening trigger field.
3. Click on the dropdown menu and select one of the following options. The available display preference options will change based on your choice:
Option 1: On page load (immediately)
The popup is shown as soon as the page loads.
1. Select On page load in the Opening trigger field.
2. In the Preferences box that appears, set:
- Delay (seconds): Enter the number of seconds to wait before the popup appears after the page loads. Leave empty to show immediately.
- Automatically hide after (seconds): Enter how many seconds the popup should remain visible before closing itself. Leave empty to not hide.
Option 2: Before page exit (on_exit)
The popup is shown when the visitor seems about to leave the page (moving the cursor outside the browser window).
1. Select Before page exit in the Opening trigger field.
2. In the Preferences box that appears, set:
- Minimum time spent (seconds): Enter the minimum number of seconds the user must have spent on the page before the exit trigger activates. Leave empty to show immediately.
- Automatically hide after (seconds): Enter how many seconds the popup should remain visible before closing itself. Leave empty to not hide.
Option 3: On page scroll (scroll)
The popup is shown only after the user has scrolled through a certain percentage of the page.
1. Select On page scroll in the Opening trigger field.
2. In the Preferences box that appears, set:
- Minimum scroll (%): Enter the percentage of page scrolled by the user (e.g., 50 for half of the page) before showing the popup.
4. After setting the trigger and its preferences, proceed with further steps in your form or save your changes.
