Define the name of a field (with translation support)

This guide explains how to assign a visible name to a field within your Form and how to provide the necessary translations for the different active languages on the site.

The label you define as "Nome campo" is what the user will see above the input field.

Defining a Field Name (with translation support)

Follow these steps to define the name of a field within the Form settings:

1. Edit the Field Settings

1. Access the Form editing section and open the panel of the field you want to configure.

2. Locate the main settings section, where you will find the field labeled Nome campo.

2. Enter the Name in the Primary Language

1. In the text box under the Nome campo label, enter the text you want to appear as the field title (for example, "Il tuo nome" or "Messaggio").

2. After entering the name, the system will automatically generate a unique value in the ID Campo field (visible in Advanced Settings). This ID is not visible to the end user but is essential for data processing.

> Note about ID Campo: If you manually edit the ID Campo, make sure it is unique and contains only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (-).

3. Add Translations

To translate the field name into other languages supported by your site:

1. Next to the Nome campo label, look for the icon indicating translation support (usually an icon shaped like a globe or flag).

2. Click on the translation icon to open the dedicated modal window.

3. In the translation window, you will see the field name already entered in the primary language. Enter appropriate translations in the fields corresponding to other languages.

4. Save changes in the translation window.

The field name will now be displayed in the correct language based on the language selected by the user on the site.

4. Final Save

1. After configuring the name and translations of the field, make sure to save the entire Form to apply the changes.
