Why do it: To allow a previously blocked author to submit content again by removing their IP address from the block list.
Procedure to Unblock the Author (via IP)
1. Access the main post list (the screen showing the table with columns Author, Post, Category, etc.).
2. Click on the record of the author you want to unblock to open the edit screen.
3. On the edit screen, make sure you are in the General section (the first tab).
4. In the right sidebar (the one containing options like Category and Language), scroll down to find the section containing the labels Ban and Actions.
5. Under the Ban label, the current status should indicate: Author banned.
6. Under the Actions label, click on the Unblock author button.
7. After clicking, the status under Ban will automatically update to None and the button under Actions will change to Ban author, confirming that the author has been unblocked.
