Edit an existing guest post

This guide explains how to access and update the information, content, and status of a guest post already present in the system.

Procedure

1. Access the Guest Posts List

  • Navigate to the control panel section listing the Guest Posts.

2. Select the Post to Edit

  • Locate the guest post you want to edit within the table. You can identify it through the columns Author, Post, Category, or Status.
  • Click on the row corresponding to the post to open the editing screen.

3. Edit Main Information (Content)

In the main section of the editing screen, you can update the post details:

  • Edit the Guestpost Title field.
  • Edit the Slug field (the post's URL address).
  • Update the post Content using the text editor.
  • Manage Attachments (images or files) associated with the post.

4. Edit Settings (Sidebar)

In the sidebar column, you can update post settings and author data:

  • Status: Check or uncheck the Show on site box to make the post active or inactive.
  • Category: Select the appropriate Category from the dropdown menu.
  • Author Data: Update fields related to the author (these fields are dynamic, such as name, age, etc.).
  • Tags: Add or remove Tags associated with the post.
  • Language: Select the correct Language for the post content.
  • Ban Management: If necessary, in the Actions section, you can click on Ban Author or Unban Author to manage author access based on their IP.

5. Save Changes

  • Once all modifications are complete, click on the Save Changes button (or equivalent save button in the page footer) to apply updates.
