Why do it:
This procedure prevents a specific author from submitting further content using their IP address.
Procedure:
1. Access the post list (where you see the columns Author, Post, etc.).
2. Click on the post submitted by the author you want to ban to open the edit screen.
3. In the edit screen, look for the section on the right containing options.
4. Locate the labels Ban and Actions.
5. Under the Actions label, click the Ban author button.
6. The status under the Ban label will change to "Author banned" and the action button will become Unban author.
> Note: If the author is already banned, the button will show Unban author. Clicking it will remove the author from the banned IP list.
