Why do it:
This procedure allows you to block a specific user, identified by their IP address, preventing them from submitting further content.
Procedure:
1. From the main content management screen, locate the content submitted by the author you want to ban (the relevant columns are Author and Post).
2. Click on the post row to access the edit screen.
3. On the edit screen, look for the options panel on the right.
4. Scroll down to the section containing the labels Ban and Actions.
5. Under the Ban label, you will see the current status of the author (initially shown as None).
6. Under the Actions label, click on the Ban Author button.
7. The status under Ban will change to Author banned and the button under Actions will change to Unban Author.
8. To apply the changes, make sure to save the post by clicking on the save button in the top bar (usually Save changes or equivalent).
> Note: If the author is already banned, under Actions you will see the Unban Author button. Clicking it will remove the IP block.
