Setting a Gradient Overlay on the Slide
Why do it:
A gradient overlay adds a visual effect to the slide, enhancing text readability or unifying the appearance of the background image.
Procedure
1. Access the editing mode of the Slider containing the slide you want to configure.
2. In the Slides section, click on the tab of the specific slide you want to modify.
3. Scroll down until you find the box titled Overlay, located within the Background section.
4. Under the Gradient label, click on the input field.
- The gradient selection tool (identified as Select gradient) will open.
5. Use the tool to define the direction, colors, and transparency of the desired gradient.
6. Once configured, the gradient will be immediately applied to the slide preview.
Additional Options (Overlay)
In the same Overlay section, you can refine the effect:
- Color: Use the Color field to set a solid color that will be applied beneath the gradient (or instead of it if no gradient is set).
- Opacity: Use the Opacity field to adjust the overall transparency of the overlay (both gradient and solid color). Enter a numeric value (e.g., 50) and the unit
%will be added automatically.
7. After completing your changes, make sure to save the entire Slider by clicking on the main save button.
