Choose the slug divider (slash or dash) for child pages

Why do it: This setting defines the character that separates the parent page's slug from the child page's slug in the URL (for example, parent/child or parent-child).

Procedure

1. Access the page you want to edit.

2. Make sure you are in the first section of the editing form, titled Page.

3. Locate the Parent Page field.

4. Select from the dropdown menu the page that will become the parent of the page you are editing.

  • Note: The Slug Divider field will appear only after selecting a parent page.

5. Locate the Slug Divider field.

6. Click on the dropdown menu and choose the desired option:

  • Default: The child page will inherit the divider set on the parent page.
  • Use slash (/): The divider between slugs will be a slash (e.g., /parent/child).
  • Use hyphen (-): The divider between slugs will be a hyphen (e.g., /parent-child).

7. Complete editing the page and proceed to final save.
