This guide explains how to manage the visibility of a page (shown or hidden from the public on the website) using the management interface.
There are two methods to set visibility: from the single page edit page or directly from the list of pages.
Method 1: Set Visibility from the Edit Page
Use this method to set visibility while editing the content of the page.
Procedure
1. Access the page you want to edit.
2. In the main section of the page, next to the Page Title and Slug fields, locate the section containing the checkbox.
3. Select or deselect the checkbox labeled Show on site:
- Checked: The page will be visible on the website.
- Unchecked: The page will be hidden from the website.
4. Click the save button (usually located at the bottom or in the sidebar) to apply the change.
Method 2: Set Visibility from the Pages List (Quick Actions)
Use this method to quickly show or hide a page directly from the main list without entering edit mode.
1. Hide a Page from the Site
Why do it: To temporarily remove a page from public navigation while keeping it in the CMS.
1. Access the main list of pages.
2. Locate the page you want to hide.
3. Click on the contextual actions menu (usually represented by three dots or a menu icon) associated with that page’s row.
4. In the dropdown menu, click Hide from site.
5. Confirm the action when prompted by the system (e.g., "Are you sure you want to hide X page?").
- Note: After hiding, the row in the table might be highlighted (e.g., in red) to indicate its "hidden" status.
2. Show a Page on the Site
Why do it: To make a previously hidden page public again.
1. Access the main list of pages.
2. Locate the page that is currently hidden (it may be highlighted).
3. Click on the contextual actions menu associated with that page’s row.
4. In the dropdown menu, click Show on site.
5. Confirm the action when prompted by the system (e.g., "Are you sure you want to show X page?").
- Note: The page will immediately become visible on the site.
3. Multiple Actions
It is possible to apply visibility actions to multiple pages simultaneously:
1. Select desired pages’ rows using their selection checkboxes.
2. Use bulk actions available in the interface (if present) or repeat actions from each selected row’s contextual menu.
3. The system will ask for confirmation for all selected pages at once (e.g., "Are you sure you want to show 3 pages?").
