This guide shows you how to create a new custom page within the system.
Procedure
1. From the main page management screen, click the button to add a new item (usually identified by a + icon or the text New).
- The new page editing screen will open.
2. Fill in the Page section:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Page Title* | Enter the name you want to give the page (it will be visible in the menu and in the page title). |
| Slug* | This is the unique web address of the page. It is generated automatically from the title but you can modify it. |
| Parent Page | Select an existing page if you want this new page to be a subpage (child). |
| Slug Divider | Choose the character that will separate the Parent Page slug from the child page slug (for example / or -). This field appears only if you have selected a Parent Page. |
| Show on site | Make sure this box is checked if you want the page to be immediately visible to visitors. |
3. In the Page Body section, use the visual editor to insert content, text, and graphic elements that will compose the page.
4. Navigate to the next step (usually by clicking Next or on the SEO tab) and fill in information related to SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This information is crucial for search engine indexing.
5. Navigate to the Preferences step to set up the appearance of the page:
- Header: Select a specific Header to use for this page, or leave as Default to use the site's standard header.
- Footer: Select a specific Footer, or leave as Default.
6. Once all fields are completed, click on the Save (or Save changes) button to save the new page.
- If successful, you will receive a confirmation notification and be redirected to the pages list. Your new page will now be visible in the list.
