Description: This tool allows you to create, organize, and manage all the web pages that make up your site, including custom pages and system default pages.
What is it for? (Practical examples)
Use the Pages Management module to:
- Organize the site structure: Define a clear hierarchy (parent pages and child pages) to improve navigation and indexing.
- Control visibility: Temporarily hide pages under construction or no longer relevant without deleting them.
- Optimize content: Edit titles, content, and SEO parameters to ensure each page is effective for visitors and search engines.
- Create Landing Pages: Convert any custom page into a dedicated Landing Page for specific campaigns.
Main Features
1. Hierarchy Management
You can organize pages in a tree structure by defining a Parent Page.
- The Parent Page influences the final URL (Slug) of the child page, creating a logical path (e.g.,
domain.com/parent/child). - The main screen allows easy navigation between parent pages and their respective child pages, displaying the current navigation path.
2. Content Creation and Editing
- Each page requires a Title, a Slug (the URL path), and a Page Body (minimum content required is 80 characters).
- The integrated editor (Visual Builder) allows building the page content visually.
- For system pages (default), specific Shortcodes may be available to insert dynamic elements.
3. Visibility Control
- You can decide whether a page should be Shown on the site or Hidden from the site via a simple toggle or through quick actions in the main list.
- Hidden pages are marked for easy identification.
4. Special Pages Management (Static/Private)
- The system distinguishes between Custom Pages (created by the user) and System Pages (default ones like Home Page or service pages).
- System pages are managed separately and may have modification restrictions or automatically inherited SEO settings.
5. Advanced Saving Options
When editing system pages shared globally, the system will ask if you want to apply changes Globally (to all managed sites) or only to the Current Site.
How to configure (Edit Screen)
The edit screen is divided into main sections (Page, SEO, Preferences).
Page Section
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Page Title | The title that will appear in the browser and search results. |
| Slug | The URL path of the page (e.g., contacts). It is generated automatically from the title but can be modified. |
| Parent Page | Select an existing page to create a hierarchical structure. |
| Slug Separator | Choose the separator used between Parent Page and Child Page in the URL: Slash (/) or Dash (-). If not specified, inherits setting from parent. |
| Show on Site | Check to make the page immediately visible to the public. |
| Page Body | The workspace where you build the page content. |
SEO Section
This section allows defining essential metadata for search engine optimization (titles, descriptions, etc.).
Preferences Section
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Header | Allows choosing which Header block to use for this specific page: Default, Hide, or a custom block. |
| Footer | Allows choosing which Footer block to use for this specific page: Default, Hide, or a custom block. |
Automatic Integrations
Dynamic URL Generation
The system automatically updates the Slug (URL path) based on the entered Title and selected Parent Page. If the chosen Slug is already in use, the system automatically suggests an available alternative.
Conversion into Landing Page
From the main list, it is possible to convert a standard page into a Landing Page. Landing Pages are managed in a separate module and optimized for specific conversion goals.
Visibility Update
Any change in visibility status (Show/Hide) is applied immediately, and the site cache is cleared to ensure visitors always see the most updated state of the page.
Key Differences
Custom Pages vs. System Pages: Use Custom Pages when you need to create unique and flexible content (e.g., "About Us," "Services"). Use System Pages (Static/Private) when you need to modify layout or content of fundamental predefined framework pages (e.g., Home Page, login pages). System Pages often have stricter saving and visibility rules.
