Assign static or dynamic labels to customers

This guide is intended for users who want to configure a form module to automatically assign tags to customers who fill it out. These tags can be fixed (static) or based on a specific field of the form (dynamic).


Guide: Assign Static or Dynamic Tags to Customers

This procedure takes place within the settings of an existing or newly created form.

Important Prerequisite: Tag assignment works only if the customer is registered or subscribed to a list. Make sure you have also activated the Register Customer (Anagrafica) or Newsletter Subscription action before proceeding.

1. Access the Form Settings

1. Log in to the management panel and navigate to the Forms section.

2. Select the form you want to modify or create a new one.

3. In the form editing screen, ensure that the Nome form* field is filled out and that the Attivo checkbox is checked.

4. Proceed to the Actions tab (the second step of the wizard).

2. Activate the Tag Assignment Action

In the Actions section, you will find several tabs (Action Box) that define what happens after submitting the form.

1. Locate the tab related to tag assignment action (often called "Assegnazione Etichette" or similar, depending on system configuration).

2. If the tab is not active, click on the Attiva button located at the top right corner of the tab.

3. Once activated, the tab will expand showing configuration options.

3. Configure Static Tags

Static tags are predefined tags that will be assigned to all customers who fill out this form.

1. In the Etichette statiche section, click on the selection field.

2. A list of available tags in the system will open.

3. Select one or more tags you want to assign.

> Example: If you select the tag "Lead Caldo," every user who submits the form will receive this tag.

4. Configure Dynamic Tags

Dynamic tags allow assigning a tag based on the value entered by the user in a specific form field (for example, a multiple choice or dropdown field).

1. In the Etichette dinamiche section, click on the selection field.

2. This field lists all fields you have created in your form's Generali tab.

3. Select the form field whose value should be used as a tag.

> Note: For dynamic assignment to work correctly, possible values of the selected field (e.g., dropdown list options) must exactly match existing tag names in your system.

5. Save Changes

1. After configuring static and/or dynamic tags, proceed to the last tab of the form.

2. Click on the save button to apply changes.

Tags will now be automatically assigned to customers each time they submit the form.
