Search, filter, and sort resources by Title, Number of Downloads, or Protection Status (implicit from datatable)

Why do it: You can quickly find specific files or analyze resources based on their protection status or number of downloads.

1. Searching and Filtering Resources

The global search feature allows you to filter results based on any text present in the columns (Title, Downloads, or Protected).

Procedure:

1. Locate the search field (usually labeled as Search or an empty text box) positioned above the resource table.

2. Type the keyword or phrase you are looking for (for example, part of the Title or the word "Protected").

3. The table will automatically update showing only the resources that match the entered text.

4. To view all resources again, clear the text from the search field.

2. Sorting Resources

You can sort resources in ascending or descending order by clicking on the header of the desired column.

Procedure:

1. Click on the column header by which you want to sort the data:

  • Title: To sort files alphabetically.
  • Downloads: To sort files based on the number of downloads.
  • Protected: To group files based on their access status (whether they are Protected or Free).

2. The first click will sort the column in ascending order.

3. The second click will sort the column in descending order.

4. An arrow icon will appear next to the column name to indicate active sorting.
