Description: Advanced tool for creating and managing customized payment (checkout) pages, allowing you to optimize the purchasing experience for specific products or services.
What is it for? (Practical examples)
This tool is essential for those managing online sales and needing flexibility in the purchasing process:
- Creation of Optimized Funnels: Use it to create a "quick" checkout for low-cost products (requiring only name and email) and a "complete" checkout for complex products (requiring shipping and billing address).
- Special Offer Management: You can define a specific checkout that accepts only certain payment methods (e.g., credit card only) or that includes a targeted cross-selling offer.
- Purchase Rules Setup: Allows applying a mandatory minimum amount to complete the order, useful for promotions or wholesale purchases.
Main Features
- Field Customization: You have full control over the fields and sections displayed. You can enable, disable, or make any field mandatory (e.g., phone, address, tax code).
- Rename Fields: It is possible to change the title of a field (e.g., change "Name" to "Full Name") to adapt it to your business language.
- Payment Configuration: Precisely select which payment methods, among those active in the system, should be accepted for that specific checkout.
- Cart Management: Define whether the checkout should process products dynamically added by the user (standard cart) or manage a fixed set of predefined products.
- Cross-Selling (Post-Cart Offers): Enable and configure an additional offer (One Time Offer, OTO) to present to the buyer before completing the order.
- Dedicated URL: Each checkout configuration generates a unique link that can be copied and used immediately in marketing campaigns or landing pages.
How to configure
Configuring a new checkout is guided by a process divided into four main tabs:
1. Content
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Checkout Name | The internal label to identify this configuration in the admin area. |
| Minimum Amount | If set, the user cannot complete the purchase if the cart total is below this amount. |
| Fields to Show | Allows enabling or disabling entire sections (e.g., Billing Data) and the individual fields within them. You can also check the option to make a field mandatory. |
| Custom Messages | For each section (e.g., Shipping Data), you can insert a text or HTML message (for example, for specific notices or delivery times). |
| Custom Checkbox | Allows adding an additional checkbox with custom text (useful for specific consents or declarations). |
| Payment Methods | Select which payment methods (e.g., PayPal, Bank Transfer, Credit Card) are active for this specific checkout. |
2. Cart
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Product Source | Choose whether products are taken from the user's standard cart (Take from cart) or are fixedly defined in this configuration (Select manually). |
| Products in Cart | If you chose manual source, use the integrated editor to define which products, and in what quantity, will always be included in this checkout. |
3. Cross-selling
This section allows configuring an additional offer to show the user during the purchase process.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable Cross-selling | Enable or disable the additional offer. |
| Products to Show | Define the maximum number of products that will be proposed in the offer. |
| Product Source | Choose whether the offer inherits related products from those already in the cart or if you define them manually. |
| Quantity Selection | If checked, the user cannot change the quantity of the proposed offer. |
| Invitation Message | The text (using the visual editor) inviting the user to accept the offer. |
| OTO Cart | If the source is manual, define here the products composing the cross-selling offer. |
4. Pages
This section allows linking the checkout to other key pages of your site, such as the Thank You Page or the Error Page, ensuring a coherent user flow.
Automatic Integrations
- Preview and Sharing URL: Once saved, the system provides a unique public link that you can view or copy for external integration.
- Payment Methods Update: If you add or modify payment methods in the Billing module, you can update the available list in this checkout with a simple click.
- Multilanguage: Custom field titles and inserted messages support multilanguage management, adapting to the language of the user making the purchase.
Key Differences
Use the Custom Checkout Manager when you need to vary the purchasing experience based on the product, sales channel, or promotion. If you only need to manage products and prices, use the standard e-commerce management module.
