Why do it: SEO metadata (Search Engine Optimization) are essential to indicate to search engines how the page Title and Description should appear in search results.
Step-by-step procedure
1. Access the page to be edited
- In the main table (identified as
maintablelist), find the row related to the page you want to edit. - Click on the Edit button (or the pencil icon) associated with that row. You will be redirected to the page editing form.
2. Reach the SEO section
- The editing form is divided into sections (or tabs). Click on the tab or navigation button corresponding to the SEO step.
3. Edit the metadata
- Within the SEO section, fill in the available fields. These typically include:
- SEO Title: The title that will appear in search results.
- SEO Description: The brief summary of the page content.
- (There may be other fields such as Open Graph or Robots configuration, depending on system setup).
4. Save changes
- Once you have completed editing the SEO fields, click on the save button (usually labeled Save or Done).
5. Manage saving (only for global pages)
- If you are editing a standard global page (marked as such by the system), a dialog window may appear asking how to save your changes:
- Select Current site to apply changes only to the site you are managing.
- Select Globally (and confirm in the subsequent pop-up) if you want changes applied to all sites using this standard page.
- If the page is customized, saving will occur immediately.
After saving, the system will confirm the operation and the new SEO metadata will be applied to the page.
