This guide explains how to create an exact copy of an existing widget within your Dashboard.
Prerequisites: You must have loaded a saved Dashboard.
Procedure to Duplicate a Widget
1. Access the Dashboard:
- In the left sidebar, locate the section titled Dashboards.
- Click on the name of the Dashboard that contains the Widget you want to duplicate.
2. Identify the Widget:
- In the central area of the screen, find the Widget you want to copy.
3. Duplicate the Widget:
- Hover over the Widget's title.
- In the Widget toolbar (top right), click on the Copy icon (<i class="fa fa-copy"></i>).
Result: An exact copy of the Widget will be immediately added to the Dashboard, usually positioned at the bottom or in an available area. The new Widget will have the same name as the original followed by (Copy).
4. Save Changes to the Dashboard:
- To make the duplication permanent, click on the Save button (<i class="fa fa-save"></i>) located in the main header (top right).
- You will be prompted to confirm or change the name of the Dashboard. Click Save.
The duplicated Widget is now saved in your Dashboard and can be edited or repositioned independently from the original.
