This guide explains how to remove previously selected fields (Dimensions, Metrics, or Groupings) during the configuration of a Report.
There are two main methods to deselect a field: through the selection panel or by deleting it directly from the configuration list.
Method 1: Deselect via the "Select Fields" Panel
This method is useful for managing multiple fields at once.
1. Access the configuration: Make sure you are in Report configuration mode (the sidebar shows sections like "Columns / Dimensions" and "Metrics (Values)").
2. Open the field selector: Locate the section from which you want to remove fields (for example, Columns / Dimensions). Click on the pencil icon (<i class="fa fa-pencil"></i>) next to the section label.
- The sidebar panel will change, showing the
Select Fieldsscreen.
3. Deselect fields: Scroll through the list of available fields and uncheck (deselect) the boxes corresponding to the fields you no longer want to include in the Report.
4. Confirm changes: Click the Confirm button at the bottom of the panel to apply the changes.
Deselected fields will be removed from the configuration list and the Report will update automatically.
Method 2: Remove a Field Directly from the Configuration List
If you need to remove only a single already configured field, you can do so directly from the list in the sidebar.
1. Locate the section: In the configuration sidebar, find the section containing the field you want to delete (for example, Metrics (Values)).
2. Remove the field: Click on the X icon (<i class="fa fa-times item-remove"></i>) located at the far right of the name of the field you wish to remove.
The field will be immediately removed from the configuration and the Report will update.
