This guide is intended for users who want to configure a Form (for example, a contact or registration form) so that users who fill it out are automatically added to a new marketing list (newsletter).
The system creates the marketing list as part of the Form configuration itself.
Guide: Creating a New Marketing List (Newsletter)
To create a new marketing list, you need to configure the "Newsletter Subscription" action within an existing or newly created Form.
1. Access and Configure the Form
1. Access the Form management section.
2. Create a new Form or edit an existing Form.
3. In the editing screen, make sure you have filled in the Form Name field. This name will be used to identify the automatic list.
4. Complete the configuration of the Fields (for example, by adding fields for Email, First Name, and Last Name).
2. Activate the Newsletter Action
1. In the Form Editor, navigate to the second step: Actions.
2. Locate the section related to the Newsletter Subscription action.
3. If the action is not yet active, click on the Activate button inside the box.
3. Map Required Fields
Once the action is activated, you must specify which fields in your Form correspond to the data required for newsletter subscription.
1. In the Newsletter Subscription box, use the dropdown menus to map your Form fields:
- Subscription Email*: Select your Form field that collects the user's email address (this field is mandatory).
- First Name and Last Name: Select corresponding fields from your Form (if present).
- Subscription Authorization Checkbox: Select any "Acceptance checkbox" field that the user must check to authorize subscription.
4. Create the New Marketing List
You can create the new list in two main ways using options below field mapping:
Option A: Automatic List (Recommended)
This option automatically creates a marketing list based on the Form name.
1. Locate the Automatic List section.
2. Make sure that the box Subscribe to list 'Via form <b class="form-name"></b>' is checked.
- Note:
<b class="form-name"></b>will be replaced by the name you assigned to the Form in step 1.
3. When you save the Form, the corresponding marketing list will be created automatically and every new subscriber will be added to it.
Option B: Static Lists
If you want to associate subscribers with an existing list or manually create one:
1. In the Static Lists field, click and select existing marketing lists to which users should be subscribed.
2. If you want to immediately create a new marketing list, click on Create New (near the label Static Lists) and follow the wizard for creating a list. Once created, you can select it in this field.
5. Save
1. Once all configurations are complete (including selecting static lists or activating automatic list), proceed with saving the Form.
2. Click on the Form save button to apply changes and create the new marketing list (if you chose automatic option).
