Create a new marketing list (for newsletter subscription)

This guide is intended for users who are not familiar with programming or advanced system configuration. Follow the steps to set up a subscription module and link it to a marketing list.


Guide: Create a New Marketing List via Subscription Form

To create a marketing list for your newsletter, you first need to create or edit a Form and enable the "Newsletter Subscription" action.

1. Create or Edit the Form

1. Access the Forms management section in your control panel.

2. Click the button to Create a new Form or select an existing Form to edit.

2. General Configuration and Fields

When the Form editing screen opens, you will be in the General section.

1. In the Form Name\* field, assign a clear name to your form (e.g., "Newsletter Subscription Footer").

2. Make sure the Active checkbox is checked.

3. In the Fields section, configure the fields you want to include in your form (for example, an Email type field and a Text type field for the name).

  • Note: It is essential that there is at least one field dedicated to collecting the email address.

3. Enable the "Newsletter Subscription" Action

After configuring the fields, you need to tell the system what to do with the collected data.

1. Click on the Actions tab (or step) at the top of the page.

2. Locate the action named Newsletter Subscription.

3. Click on the Activate button inside the "Newsletter Subscription" box. The box will become colored and expand to show settings.

4. Field Mapping

In the "Newsletter Subscription" section you must link your Form fields to those required by the action:

1. First Name: Select the Form field containing the user's first name.

2. Last Name: Select the Form field containing the user's last name.

3. Subscription Email\*: This field is mandatory. Select the Form field that collects the email address.

5. Marketing List Selection

Here you can decide which list users will be subscribed to.

Option A: Create an Automatic List (Recommended for simplicity)

By default, the Automatic list option is enabled:

  • The checkbox Subscribe to list 'Via form [Form Name]' is checked.
  • Result: The system will automatically create a new marketing list with the same name as the Form you defined in Step 2 (e.g., "Via form Newsletter Subscription Footer") and add subscribers to it.

Option B: Subscribe to Existing or New Static Lists

If you prefer to manage lists manually or create a specific one:

1. In the Static lists section, you can select one or more existing lists.

2. If you need to create a completely new list, click on Create new (near the label "Static lists"). A popup window for creation will open.

3. After creating the list, select it from the Static lists dropdown menu.

6. Save the Form

1. After configuring actions and lists, proceed with other tabs of the Form if necessary.

2. Click on Save (usually at bottom or top right) to apply changes.

Once saved, every time a user fills out and submits this Form, they will be automatically added to the marketing list you specified.
