Create a new marketing list

This guide explains how to create a new marketing list within the system, using the Form configuration interface, where the list management functionality is integrated.

The goal is to create a module (Form) that, once submitted, adds the user to the new list we will define.


Guide: Creating a New Marketing List

1. Create or Edit a Form

To create a new marketing list, it is necessary to define a Form that will manage the subscription.

1. Access the Form management section.

2. Click Add New or select an existing Form to edit.

3. In the General section, fill in the required field:

  • Form Name*: Enter a clear name for the Form (e.g., "Homepage Newsletter Subscription").

4. Make sure the Active checkbox is checked.

2. Define Required Fields

It is essential that the Form includes at least one field for the email address, which will be used for subscribing to the list.

1. Scroll down to the Fields section.

2. Add a new field (or modify an existing one) dedicated to email.

3. Configure the email field:

  • Field Name: Assign a name (e.g., "Your Email").
  • Field Type: Select the appropriate option (e.g., Input Field).
  • Input Type: Select Email.
  • Make sure the Required checkbox is checked.

3. Activate the Newsletter Subscription Action

Go to the Actions tab to define what should happen after submitting the Form.

1. Click on the Actions tab (usually step two of the Form).

2. Locate the action named Newsletter Subscription (or similar, depending on system configuration).

3. Click on the Activate button inside the "Newsletter Subscription" action box.

4. Create the New Marketing List

Once activated, you need to link the Form to the desired list.

1. Within the "Newsletter Subscription" section, locate the Subscription Email* field and select the Email field created in Step 2.

2. Scroll down to the Static Lists field.

3. Next to the label Static Lists, click on the Create New link.

4. A pop-up window will open allowing you to create the new marketing list. Follow the instructions in the pop-up to assign a name to the list and save it.

5. Once saved, the new list will be automatically selected in the Static Lists field.

> Note: If preferred, you can uncheck the box Subscribe to 'Via form...' list if you do not want an automatic list based on the Form name to be created as well.

5. Save and Finish

1. Complete configuring other sections of the Form (for example, submit button text in General).

2. Click on the save button (usually located at top right or at end of guided process) to apply changes.

The new marketing list has been created and is now linked to the Form. Every time a user submits this Form, they will be added to this list.
