This guide explains how to assign a technical identifier (ID) to a specific field within your form. The Field ID is essential for integration with external systems or for defining specific display conditions.
Important Note: The ID must be unique within the form and cannot contain spaces or special characters. The system will automatically clean the input to ensure the ID is valid and, if necessary, will make it unique by adding an incremental number.
Procedure to Assign the Field ID
Follow these steps to assign a unique ID to any field in your form:
1. Open Advanced Settings
By default, the ID field is hidden. You need to enable the display of advanced settings:
1. Within the configuration of the field you want to modify, scroll down to the bottom.
2. Find the section with the option:
Show advanced settings
3. Check the checkbox next to this option.
Additional advanced fields will appear.
2. Enter the Field ID
1. Locate the field labeled:
Field ID
2. Enter the identifier you want to assign (for example: nomeutente or emailcontatto).
3. As soon as you complete entering and move focus away (clicking outside the field), the system will:
- Automatically remove spaces and special characters.
- Verify uniqueness: if the entered ID is already used by another field, the system will add a numeric suffix (e.g.,
email_contatto-1) to make it unique.
3. Save the Form
1. After assigning the unique ID, proceed with saving the form. The ID will now be available for use in display conditions or form actions.
