Apply visibility conditions to the field

This guide explains how to set specific rules to determine when a form field should be shown or hidden from the end user.

Audience: Non-technical users.

Procedure for Applying Visibility Conditions

To apply visibility conditions to a field, follow these steps within the form editor:

1. Open the Field's Advanced Settings

1. Access the form you want to modify and open the settings of the field to which you want to apply the condition.

2. Scroll down to the field's general settings section.

3. Locate the checkbox: Show advanced settings.

4. Check this box to reveal additional options.

2. Enable Display Conditions

Once the advanced settings are visible, you will see new options at the bottom of the field screen.

1. Look for the section labeled: Display conditions.

2. Check the box below, labeled: Apply conditions.

3. Define Visibility Conditions

After checking "Apply conditions," a new area titled Field visibility conditions will appear. Here you will define logical rules.

1. Use the interface that appears (the Query Builder) to define the rules.

2. Select the field that should trigger the condition (for example, a previous field in the form).

3. Choose the operator (e.g., "is equal to", "is not equal to", "contains").

4. Enter or select the value that the triggering field must have for the current field to become visible.

5. You can combine multiple conditions using logical operators (AND/OR) to create complex rules.

> Example: To show the "Company Address" field only if the user selected "Company" in a previous field called "User Type," you would set the condition so that:

> The field [User Type] is equal to [Company].

4. Save the Form

1. Once all desired conditions are configured, save changes to the field.

2. Proceed with final saving of the form to make the new visibility rules effective.
