Why do it:
This procedure allows you to quickly check whether access to a specific resource (file or download) is open to all users or restricted only to logged-in users.
Procedure for Viewing the Status
1. Access the main section listing all available resources.
2. Locate the main table containing the list of resources.
3. Look at the column titled Protected. This column shows the access status for each resource:
- Free: The resource is accessible to anyone, including unregistered users.
- Protected: Access to the resource is restricted and requires the user to be logged in.
How the Protection Status Is Set (Context)
The protection status of a resource is defined during creation or modification of the resource itself:
1. Open the resource you want to modify (or create a new one).
2. Navigate to the Limitations section (usually the last tab or step in the edit form).
3. Check the box next to the label Only logged-in users.
- If the box is checked, the final status of the resource will be Protected.
- If the box is NOT checked, the final status of the resource will be Free.
4. Click on the save button (for example, Save changes) to apply the limitations.
